The lighting of the cauldron included speed skater Catriona Le May Doan, basketball all-star Steve Nash, skier Nancy Greene, and legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky. Fans from all around the world came to witness their own piece of history as hard trained atheletes put it all on the line for one chance at Olympic success. And when it was all said and done, the best atheletes were heroes to the countries that they so proudly represented.
