Michigan and Ohio rivalry at its peak

The historic Michigan vs. Ohio rivalry has been home to some of the biggest games and upsets in the nation’s history. The Michigan and Ohio sport teams have clashed for decades in multiple sporting events.
Some people may not be aware that the rivalry started as far back as 1835, the start of the Toledo War. No blood was spilled but Michigan was forced to give up a strip of land for the rights to statehood.

State Representative Scott puts cleaner air in sights

Air in Michigan restaurants could become a lot less hazy if state Rep. Paul Scott gets his way.

The Grand Blanc High School graduate is currently sponsoring legislation to ban smoking in Michigan workplaces, including restaurants, bars, and bowling alleys.

Michigan goes hog wild: Feral swine infest state and threaten ecosystem

As if our state doesn’t have enough problems. According to recent reports, our shrinking job market and ailing industries are being joined by yet another crisis: feral swine.
Feral swine are what happen when well-behaved domestic hogs escape and get to spend a little time getting back to their roots. In only a few months in the wild, a once tame pig, domesticated within the restraints of the farm or game ranch, can devolve back to a wild state.
