As many were unaware, last week there was a recall on beef. After speaking with Karen Smith, the recall in and always was under control. For precautionary measures, all the beef that the school possessed was removed, yet none of the meat and GBHS had any of the containments that the recall was based off of.
“I really didn’t even know that they recalled the beef,” said senior James Freeman. “It is a good thing that none of the meat here was contaminated though.”

As last week was a sweet victory for the boys’ basketball team winning the KLAA West division, it’s now time for the Bobcats focus on the KLAA division championship. Last Friday started the tournament for the Bobcats playing Lakeland. They pulled out a close win after Patrick Haggin scored a three pointer with 1.2 seconds left in the game, leading the Bobcats to a 54-51 win. This Tuesday, the bobcat’s had another victory, this time over Pinckney, winning 61-44. They will play their next game Friday against Waterford Mott.

When the curtain rises, the audience immediately focuses their attention on the stage actors. While taking occasional glances at the scenery and props around the actors, no one really stops and takes the time to think about what must go on behind the scenes in order for this play to take place.
