As last week was a sweet victory for the boys’ basketball team winning the KLAA West division, it’s now time for the Bobcats focus on the KLAA division championship. Last Friday started the tournament for the Bobcats playing Lakeland. They pulled out a close win after Patrick Haggin scored a three pointer with 1.2 seconds left in the game, leading the Bobcats to a 54-51 win. This Tuesday, the bobcat’s had another victory, this time over Pinckney, winning   61-44. They will play their next game Friday against Waterford Mott.

Of the three sophomores on the Grand Blanc varsity roster last season, Pat Haggin wasn’t one of them.
While underclassmen Tony Jones, Bill Sams, and Mitchell Vallie were shining on the court at 7 pm, Haggin was as well, only during the junior varsity game at 5:30 pm.
“I didn’t mind playing JV, because I was able to get more playing time,” said Haggin. “I gained a lot of experience.”
