Different and fun is right. How many honeymoons are chock full of zebra, elephants, and wildebeest? Not many. The Corazzas set out each morning on a safari in a Jeep packed with the day’s meals, and they were off.
Each day was filled with new adventures and new experiences. Corazza told of a time when they had to stop and turn the Jeep off for 45 minutes. “We had to sit there while a group of lions decided to just take a nap.”
The couple spent hours exploring the endless plains of …
Read the full story »The Peer Mediation class been promoting peace all around the school. It’s the new slogan for GBHS. Peer Mediation adviser Liz Kalush-Degain and her class wanted the whole school to know how bullying can affect people.
Gabrielle “Gabe” Ford came to GBHS Dec. 14, 2009 to share her story. Gabe had a very average childhood. When she was little she loved to dance and do what any average little girl would do. But the summer before she went to high school she was diagnosed with Frederic’s ataxia, a rare genetic neuromuscular …
Touch screen, quick application launch, digital compass, and camera are just a few of the iPhone’s features. This device has caught the eye of people all over but their attention may turn to a new device created by Motorola, called the Droid.
The iPhone attracts people because it is thin and light weight opposed to the bulkier-looking phones that have big key pads. A touch screen keypad can be used when the phone is turned to the side or upright. It has a 3.0 megapixle camera and a photo application that …
Okay, so you’ve joined the Facebook group, “I’m a kid of the ‘90s,” and you’ve taken all the quizzes to see if you’re truly cut out to be called one, but do you remember what you did for the holidays when you were a kid?
Personally, it was all about grabbing a blanket and snuggling up by the fire listening to mom read The Night Before Christmas every Christmas Eve. I realize not everyone celebrates Christmas, but perhaps this will take you all back to when you felt happiness overflowing inside …
You know what grinds my gears? People, who attend Grand Blanc High, yet insist on wearing clothes that have other high school’s logo on them. It’s like, why wear that if you don’t even go there? Why support a high school you don’t even go to, or even support Grand Blanc’s rival, what’s up with that?
If your significant other goes there or something, maybe that’s different, but still. Out of all the sweat shirts, t-shirts, or sweat pants someone might own they chose to wear the ones that support a …

As if we don’t already know, parents love to give us “children” pieces of advice that, for most, are pure common sense. Parents are constantly nagging their children on a wide range of topics; anywhere from staying away from sex and drugs to asking what you are going to do with the rest of your life.
One major thing that parents love to bother their kids about is doing the right thing and making the right choices. As if we haven’t heard this speech from about the time we were four …
What is it exactly that the Wilderness Club does? This club provides opportunities for adventure oriented students to participate in a variety of team activities to not only bring them together but also keep them in close contact with their environment. The latest talk has been about their trip to play three competitive games of laser tag! This event took place at Zap Zone in Waterford.
The president of UNITE, junior Nathan Setto also takes an interest in the school’s Wilderness Club. He stated, “I am a part of the Wilderness …
Rumors fuel fears, and fears roll over our nation’s news networks until one is left more confused than they started and has to discern the facts from the falsities on their own. This is much the case with the H1N1 vaccine that is being used nation wide to prevent the sickness.
Despite the confusion, hundreds of parents took their children to the West Campus on Nov. 24 to get them vaccinated.
The vaccine comes as an injection or a nasal spray and the guidelines for who gets which depend mostly on …
Asher Roth appeared in Flint, Mich. on Nov. 19 at The Whiting. Known for the hit song “College,” he may have many fans, but that night the auditorium was pretty empty; it holds around 2,000 people, but only 200 or so showed, a very small crowd for a rap artist.
Stereotypes would suggest that more people would have been there, considering it’s a rap concert in Flint. Maybe Asher Roth isn’t considered a rapper. Just because he pretty much talks his lyrics as opposed to actually singing on most of his …
In a hot, doughnut and coffee filled room of ninth graders Hannah Freeman, a guest speaker from the Reach program stood at the front, “Have any of you been bullied?” she asked.
“My brother calls me fat, constantly,” said a clearly not fat freshman boy. This type of bullying, according to Freeman, would be caused by the bully’s insecurities being funneled into aggression towards other people.
This was at the “Coffee talk with your Counselors” meeting that counselors at Grand Blanc set up to allow for more interaction with students. With only …
At the end of the marking period many kids rush to bring up their grade last minute; others don’t need it but would love to have those extra points. The Physics class gave out an extra credit assignment to create a mousetrap-powered car that could go 1 meter pulling 100 grams. The project was worth 5 percent of their grade, which is a big help to some people.
“It was a fun way to get the kids involved with a hands-on physics experiment, “said physics teacher Craig Trombly, “and make something …
